How Direct Media Services works
We sit between homeowners and licensed providers, and we do one job well: turning a messy “something is broken” into a confirmed appointment with the right trade.
Inquiry to confirmed appointment
You see the exact fee at step three, and nothing is charged before you approve it.
Tell us about the job
Two minutes, one form. The trade you need, where the property is, and when you are free. No account, no back-and-forth.
We qualify the request
Our team checks the job is serviceable in your ZIP code and that a provider in that trade can actually take it. If we can’t help, you are told before you pay.
You see the fee, then choose
The exact one-time booking fee is shown on screen before any payment is authorized. Nothing is charged until you approve it.
We match a licensed provider
Your job goes to a provider in our network who holds the licence and insurance for that trade in your state.
Your appointment is confirmed
We lock the date and time window with both sides and send you a written confirmation with the provider’s details.
What we do, and what the provider does
Two separate companies, two separate bills. Keeping that clear is the whole point of this page.
| Responsibility | Who |
|---|---|
| Job intake & qualification | Direct Media Services |
| Serviceability check | Direct Media Services |
| Licence & insurance verification | Direct Media Services |
| Appointment scheduling | Direct Media Services |
| Diagnosis & quote for the work | The provider |
| Performing the repair or install | The provider |
| Parts, materials & permits | The provider |
| Warranty on workmanship | The provider |
| Billing for the work | The provider |
Two bills, not one
Bill 1 — from us: the one-time booking fee ($89 – $149) for intake, qualification, matching and scheduling. Shown before you pay.
Bill 2 — from the provider: the cost of the actual work. Quoted by them after they see the job, billed by them, under their terms.
How we choose your provider
- Holds a current state licence for that trade, where the state requires one
- Carries general liability insurance
- Actually services your ZIP code for that trade
- Has availability inside the window you asked for
- Has a clean recent record on jobs we have sent them
Who gets your information, and when
No vague language. Here is precisely where your details travel.
Our booking team
Reads your request to qualify it and confirm serviceability. They are the people who call or email you.
The matched provider
Receives your name, contact details, address and the job description — the minimum they need to turn up and do the work.
Partner network
If you ticked the consent box, vetted partners may contact you about related home service offers. Opt out any time. See the policy →
Ready to get it fixed?
Tell us what is wrong, and we will qualify the job and put a licensed provider in your calendar. The fee is shown before you pay — and refunded in full if we cannot match you.
