Home Warranty Enrollment & Covered Service Scheduling

Home warranty plans cover the breakdown of major systems and appliances from normal wear and tear — the things homeowners insurance does not touch. We handle the intake, walk you through what different plans actually cover, coordinate enrollment, and schedule the service visits on covered claims.

Common jobs

What we book under Home Warranty

  • New home warranty plan enrollment
  • Comparing systems-only vs. appliance vs. combo plans
  • Understanding service call fees and coverage caps
  • Scheduling a covered repair visit
  • Coordinating a claim with the plan administrator
  • Re-matching when a claim needs a second opinion
  • Coverage for HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Coverage for kitchen and laundry appliances
Worth knowing: Most plans have a waiting period before coverage starts, so enrolling before something breaks matters.
Direct Media Services is not an insurer and does not underwrite or administer home warranty contracts. We coordinate enrollment and scheduling with third-party plan providers. Coverage, exclusions, waiting periods, caps and service fees are set entirely by the plan you choose — read that contract before you enroll.

The process

How your Home Warranty booking works

01

Tell us about the job

Two minutes, one form. The trade you need, where the property is, and when you are free. No account, no back-and-forth.

02

We qualify the request

Our team checks the job is serviceable in your ZIP code and that a provider in that trade can actually take it. If we can’t help, you are told before you pay.

03

You see the fee, then choose

The exact one-time booking fee is shown on screen before any payment is authorized. Nothing is charged until you approve it.

04

We match a licensed provider

Your job goes to a provider in our network who holds the licence and insurance for that trade in your state.

05

Your appointment is confirmed

We lock the date and time window with both sides and send you a written confirmation with the provider’s details.

What the booking fee does and does not cover

The $89 – $149 fee pays Direct Media Services for intake, qualification, provider matching and scheduling. It is not payment for Home Warranty work, parts or materials — the licensed provider we match you with quotes and bills that separately.

Home Warranty questions

Answers before you book

Is a home warranty the same as homeowners insurance?
No. Insurance covers sudden damage from events like fire, storms or theft. A home warranty covers the mechanical breakdown of systems and appliances from normal wear and tear. Most homeowners who have one carry both.
Do you underwrite the warranty?
No. We are a coordination and scheduling company. The plan is issued and administered by a third-party provider, and their contract governs what is and is not covered.
Is there a waiting period?
Almost every plan has one — commonly 15 to 30 days from enrollment. A breakdown during the waiting period is generally not covered, which is why enrolling before something fails matters.
Is the booking fee the cost of my repair?
No — and this is the most important thing to understand. The booking fee pays Direct Media Services for intake, qualification, provider matching, scheduling and coordination. The provider we match you with quotes and bills you separately for the actual repair or installation work, under their own terms. We do not perform home repairs ourselves.
When exactly am I charged?
At checkout, after your job details are captured and after the exact fee is displayed on screen. All pricing is disclosed prior to payment authorization. You will never be charged an amount you have not seen first.
Is this a subscription?
No. The fee is charged once per booking. There is no recurring billing, no auto-renewal and nothing to cancel later.
